Join us for Giving Tuesday

As Thanksgiving approaches we tend to reflect upon all that we have to give thanks for.  In fact, Thanksgiving is America’s second favorite holiday only behind Christmas.  It’s no wonder, there’s lots of food, a long weekend with friends and family, non-stop nostalgic holiday movies and football, football and more football. While the holiday scene for many of us is joyful and festive, unfortunately not everyone will have a happy holiday.

For most families, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on everything you’ve been given, and be grateful for all that you have. Because to whom much is given much is expected, a central part of giving thanks is giving back. As you celebrate what you and your family have been blessed with remember that domestic violence affects 1 in 5 people in Central Indiana.  This holiday season there is something that you can do about it. By joining the Domestic Violence Network as we participate in Giving Tuesday, you can help us to end domestic violence in Central Indiana. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
