SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTIONS

The Administrative Assistant provides support to staff, including scheduling youth program sessions, data entry and ordering office supplies. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, reliable, and timely with a passion for ending domestic and sexual violence. 

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS 

  • Schedule all youth program class activities
  • Enter data for youth program and Advocates Network
  • Event coordination for trainings
  • Order of office supplies, resources and giveaways
  • Coordinate resources to Network partners
  • Support to DVN staff as needed

Note: The essential functions of this job may be revised or updated as facility needs dictate.

NON-ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • none

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available to work varying hours including evenings and weekends when community events and other activities create the necessity

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and obtain results within allotted time. 
  • Ability to be an effective team player with strong collaboration skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication. 
  • A desire to work for a not-for-profit agency. 
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills. 
  • Able to work independently requiring a minimum amount of supervision.

  • Highly motivated team player with a sense of humor and passion for the work
