Collaboration, Campus Events Raise Awareness

Last fall, the Domestic Violence Network, in partnership with Butler University and IUPUI formed the Higher Ed Impact Team with a goal to share best practices for how to respond to and prevent violence on university campuses. The group quickly grew to include almost all universities in the Marion County area and the Centers of Hope and Legacy House community partners.

To raise awareness during Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April, the group participated in the clothesline project and ROCCATHON sponsored by Legacy House, hosted information booths at campus centers and promoted the Domestic Violence Network’s inaugural panel discussion on sexual assault.
