Agency Spotlight: Legacy House

Legacy House offers advocacy, support and counseling resources for crime victims. Some types of crime include homicide, child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. Legacy House offers programs such as Family & Domestic Violence, Parent Education & Support, Child & Adolescent Programming, Grief & Loss Counseling & Support, Sexual & Physical Assault, & Adult Survivors. Their services are free of charge.  A violent crime can happen in an instant, but it can have long-lasting effects on victims. National Crime Victims’ Rights Week was celebrated the week of April 7- April 11 and the entire month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. Legacy House celebrated their 10th Annual Rocc-A-Thon on April 10 in downtown Indianapolis on the Monument Circle.  This annual event raises awareness about the rights and resources to victims of crime.
