Description: Prevail, Inc. provides crisis intervention and restorative support services for adult, adolescent and child survivors of crime and abuse to residents of Hamilton and surrounding counties.  Prevail is seeking a full-time Protective Order Advocate responsible for assessing and assisting clients with completing protective orders. Also responsible for completing intake paperwork, completing safety plans, referring clients to ongoing services within the agency and completing 24 hour crisis line shifts.

Duties:  Assessing and assisting clients with completing protective orders.

Working in conjunction with staff to provide intervention and follow-up services to clients as needed, which may include (but are not limited to):  intake assessment, community referrals and resources, court advocacy, completing safety and action plans, and inter/intra-agency networking and advocacy on behalf of the victim.

Serving as a reference guide for the community in the areas of victim resources and violence prevention, by direct referrals for clients, and through public presentations and participation in community organizations.

Completing 24-hour on-call crisis line shifts and providing backup service to the child advocacy centers as scheduled and approved by the Adult Advocacy Supervisor.

Collaborating with Prevail staff, other agencies, groups, organizations, and individuals to identify and develop prevention/intervention services for victims of crime and other populations within the community.

Qualifications:  Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field; or a combination of experience, education and/or training.
