DVN Names New Executive Director

The Board of Directors is very pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly McBride to the position of Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Network. As Executive Director, Kelly will help extend DVN’s reputation for excellence as an intermediary in Indianapolis, Marion County and the central Indiana area. She will continue to engage the community to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and collaboration.

Kelly has provided leadership to the Domestic Violence Network for the past several months as Interim Director. She has an extensive history of engaging the community; in her previous role at the Domestic Violence Network, she coordinated the community wide plan to end domestic violence, Peace in Our Homes, as well as, the Coordinated Community Response and oversaw the development of the newest Community Wide Plan to End Domestic Violence (CWP 3.0). Prior to working at DVN she worked as a victim advocate in protective order court for the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She is a graduate of North Central High School and received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and her Master in Social Work from Indiana University.

Her passion for her work is evident. She strongly believes that everyone has the right to a safe, healthy, happy home and is honored to be selected to lead the Domestic Violence Network and continue to engage the community to end domestic violence. As she always says, “Everyone is part of the solution.”
