Community Wide Plan is now open for public comment!
The Community Wide Plan 3.0 calls for an end to domestic violence. This is a very tall order with success requiring all of us to play a role. Right now, we need your input. The newly developed Community Wide Plan has broad, powerful and urgent strategies addressing both prevention and intervention:
- Making sure the community is educated about domestic violence
- Making sure youth are educated to know how to avoid abusive relationships
- Making sure victims and survivors are supported and prepared to live safely and independently
- Making sure people who batter and abuse are held accountable
The Community Wide Plan serves as a call to action to us all. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the development of the Plan. But now, we are asking for more. The plan can be reviewed here. After you read it, please share your thoughts via email: communitywideplan@dvnconnect.org. We will be asking for public comments through next Thursday, September 26th.
