The secret is out!
This past month, we launched a project we have been working on for quite some time.
We are… Domestic Violence Prevention Network (DVPN)!
Domestic Violence Prevention Network is the same organization, we have just felt strongly about adding in “Prevention” to our name since our work, mission, and values are rooted in prevention.
This change better reflects and clarifies our organization’s mission to take proactive, preventative measures in addressing domestic violence and intimate partner violence. By emphasizing PREVENTION, we want foster a future where violence is not only responded to, but actively prevented.
During this process, we actively included community members & stakeholders to give feedback, opinions, and thoughts to ensure this change accurately represented the individuals and the community that we serve.
Through education and collaboration, we hope to continue to change the culture that leads to domestic violence, leading to safer futures for all!
Thank you to everyone that came out to our launch event in July. We truly felt honored to bring in this new era surrounded in community.
