Trauma Informed Care (TIC), or Trauma Informed Services (TIS), is an approach to engaging clients with histories of trauma that recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledges the role that trauma has played in their lives. Level One assisted us in getting accustomed to some of the terms, concepts and ideas that will flow freely during the TIC training cycle. Level Two will focus heavily on the client’s perspective, and on techniques to use when working with these clients. The training is free and will include a workbook, handouts, charts and screening ideas. Because this training has been certified by the Indiana Professionals Bureau, we will be providing CEUs.
