Content: Family court professionals generally agree that domestic violence comes in many different shapes and sizes and impacts families in many and varied ways. The challenge comes in helping family court professionals differentiate the nature, context and implications of abuse – and account for those differences in child custody decision-making. This session explores the contours of coercive controlling abuse and offers guidance on making a case for coercive control to family court professionals.

Presenters: Loretta Frederick, Sr. Legal & Policy Advisor, BWJP and Gabrielle Davis, Legal Policy Advisor, BWJP
