This training will examine current best practices and emerging trends in fatality review. As one of Indiana’s strategies addressing intimate partner violence over the next several years is homicide reduction, fatality review will play a key role in the work we do. Dr Websdale and consultants from the National Fatality Review Initiative will examine the current structure of fatality review, explore the role of law enforcement in the fatality review process and on a review team, and facilitate several mock reviews examining contexts such as suicide due to IPV and a near-death assault.
