This year the theme of our Prevention Institute will be new ways to work with existing partners (such as schools) to promote primary prevention initiatives at the organizational, community, and societal levels of the social ecology. The two days of the Institute are designed as a two-part series around this topic that we think will be beneficial for all preventionists, regardless of where your prevention work is located in your community. However, if other commitments prevent you from being able to come to both days of the Institute, we welcome your attendance on either Wednesdayor Thursday.
Wednesday will focus on measuring and working to change social norms within schools and larger communities (with plenty of time built in for hands-on, guided application of these topics to your own work). Thursday will include a Prevention Town Hall that will be an opportunity for us to hear from you all as to what you think the prevention priorities should be for Indiana. In addition,Thursday will include a workshop on partnering with schools to implement new teen dating violence prevention policies and practices. These two days will be action-packed, and you definitely don’t want to miss them!
