Beacon of Hope is proud to host the 1st Bow Wow Luau and Pet Walk in Indianapolis. This Walk/Run is a one of a kind race that encourages participants to run or walk with their dogs. The race will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be followed by festive music, dog contests, hula hoop competitions, swim suit competitions (dogs only) and the chance to visit many pet related vendor booths. The Bow Wow Luau and Pet Walk is an essential fundraising event for the Beacon of Hope’s unique Foster Pet Program. This Walk /Run is hosted by the staff and volunteers of Beacon of Hope Center for Women to raise money to provide for the victims pet needs while in a safe environment with a foster family. The pets may need veterinary care, immunizations, food and supplies during their stay with a foster family. All proceeds go directly towards improving the lives of the animals. Additionally, the Walk/Run helps fill the need for community events that encourage the participation of pets with their families.
