2023 Community Training Series

Our Community Training Series series will take you through five of the training sessions we offer and give you an opportunity to go through these as part of a group: Dynamics of Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence in the LGBTQ+ Community, Teen Dating Violence, Adverse Childhood Experiences Study, & Trauma Informed Care and Healthy Boundaries.

In this free, virtual, & interactive course we will:

Teach you what domestic violence is, what it includes, and warning signs

Help you understand how domestic violence impacts some communities disproportionately

Inform you on what teen dating violence is and tools available to young people if they find themself in this situation

Explore the adverse childhood experiences study and understand what risk and protective factors are
-
Learn about trauma informed care, how it is practiced and how to implement some best practices
-
Give you tools to understand and practice setting healthy boundaries for healthy relationships and learn why this is important

Teach you important terminology along the way

Receive tips on how to help someone you know in a domestic violence situation get help
Folks who register and attend 4/5 sessions will receive a course certificate.
