Content: The second part of the series will explore contemporary issues experienced by Native women, including sex trafficking and criminalization of women who experience high rates of violence. Next, the webinar will consider how law reform, including the Tribal Law and Order Act and the 2013 reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act have changed the landscape of jurisdiction over crimes against Native women. The webinar will conclude by considering how tribal justice systems can provide innovative and culturally-relevant responses to violence.
